Biographical Sketch: PD Dr. Cornelia Betsch is a research fellow and scientific manager of the Center for Empirical Research in Economics and Behavioral Science (CEREB) at the University of Erfurt, Germany. Her work aims at understanding principles of health behavior by applying a judgment and decision-making and strategic-interaction perspective to infectious disease control – especially with regard to the vaccination decision and prudent use of antibiotics. Her group is interested in social and individual aspects of health and medical decision making. She serves as a member of the European Technical Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (ETAGE) of the WHO Europe and as a member of the German Commission for the Verification of Measles and Rubella Elimination (Federal Ministry of Health @ Robert Koch Institute). With colleagues she founded the University of Erfurt’s Network GENIA on interdisciplinary health research.
