Biographical Sketch: Dr. Adele Diederich is professor of psychology, Department of Psychology and Methods and member of the Focus Health at Jacobs University Bremen, Germany. One of her research areas focuses on different stakeholders’ attitudes towards prioritizing healthcare. Of particular interest are the general public and physicians’ opinions on criteria how to allocate healthcare services. She was head of the research group “Prioritizing Medicine”, funded by the German Research Foundation for six years. Since 2012, she serves as member of the Prioritizing Health Care group of the German Medical Association (Bundesärztekammer). Her approach includes mathematical models to account for decision-making behavior.
