Biographical Sketch:
Anne-Marie Culpan qualified as a diagnostic radiographer in 1984. In 1992 she obtained a postgraduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound and delivered and managed clinical ultrasound and breast imaging services in the UK NHS until 2001. She has been a Senior lecturer, formerly at the University of Bradford and now at the University of Leeds, since this time and in September 2012 was awarded a fulltime Doctoral Research Fellowship by the National Institute of Health Research. In her recently completed PhD Anne-Marie used ‘realist evaluation' methods to explore how involving radiographers in mammography image interpretation and reporting affects the quality of care experienced by patients attending diagnostic breast clinics.
