Biographical Sketch:
Scott Hensley runs NPR's online health channel, Shots. He joined the Wall Street Journal in 2000 where he covered health care and was a founding editor of the Journal's Health Blog. After two years as a news editor in the New York health and science bureau, he left the paper in March 2009. Previously, he wrote for Modern Healthcare and American Banker. Before becoming a journalist, he worked in regulatory affairs at the medical devices unit of Siemens AG. Mr. Hensley earned a bachelor's degree in natural sciences from Johns Hopkins University and a master's degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. He now serves on the board of directors of the Association of Health Care Journalists.
