Biographical Sketch: Dr. Martin was introduce to the study of medical decision making as a MS-1, by Arthur Elstein, PhD who was a founding professor of decision sciences at the MSU College of Human Medicine in E Lansing, MI. In addition to being an active clinician, Dr. Martin has conducted over 50 clinical trials of emerging biologic therapies for rheumatoid arthritis. He was a fellow at three of the Dartmouth Summer Institutes for Informed Patient Choice. The current translational research thread seeks to understand and support patient:physician dialogues about initiating complex biologics that lead to informed patient choice.
