Biographical Sketch: Murat Kurt is an Assistant Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University at Buffalo. He received his PhD degree in industrial engineering at the University of Pittsburgh in 2012. His main research interest is decision making under uncertainty, with a primary focus on applied stochastic dynamic optimization to carefully calibrated healthcare problems. His research concentrates mostly on the timing of paired kidney exchanges under patient autonomy and optimal treatment planning for Type 2 diabetes among others.
