Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Chureen T. Carter is currently Director, Strategic Data Research Management with the Health Economics and Outcomes Research group at Janssen Scientific Affairs, LLC. Her responsibilities include generating and disseminating clinical and economic information for the immunology, oncology therapeutics, and nephrology franchises relevant for managed market customers. She was a field-based outcomes liaison working directly with private and payer customers in the Northeast Region. Previously, she was a senior research consultant with PharMetrics, Inc., where she provided analytic support on outcomes and healthcare market research projects via a patient-centric longitudinal database. Prior to PharMetrics, Dr. Carter was a manager with the Regional Medical Services group for Janssen Pharmaceutica Medical Affairs, and was responsible for disseminating clinical information in support of Janssen’s marketed products in GERD, pain, and CNS. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Dr. Carter has had clinical experience at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and McLean Hospital, in addition to eight years of retail pharmacy experience. Her earlier pharmaceutical industry experience includes Eli Lilly and Company’s business-to-business sector, where she analyzed diabetes and depression interventions developed and marketed for managed care customers. After achieving her Doctorate, she completed a two-year Outcomes Research Fellowship with the Department of Health Policy and Clinical Outcomes at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. Concurrently, she served as a consultant with Janssen Pharmaceutica’s Outcomes Research group, where she was responsible for providing pharmacoeconomic, quality of life, and outcomes research support for Phase IIIb-IV products in the CNS, Pain/Mycology, and GI franchises. Dr. Carter then earned her Masters in Pharmacy Administration from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. She is a member of the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, and the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research.
