Biographical Sketch: Kevin R. Betts is a Psychologist at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Office of Prescription Drug Promotion. He received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Social and Health Psychology from North Dakota State University, and a B.S. in Psychology, Sociology, and Applied Statistics from Grand Valley State University. His research has covered a diverse array of applied topics such as healthcare judgment and decision making, psychological aspects of food safety, and counterterrorism. Current research projects involve investigations into consumer and healthcare professional understanding of and response to prescription drug advertising, as well as investigations into contextual factors that influence these outcomes.
