Biographical Sketch: I am Instructor of Medicine and practice pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. I am a clinical investigator who focuses on how individuals' attributes and biases influence their health care decisions and subsequent outcomes. Patient populations of particular interest to me are those facing highly mortal illnesses and those related to past or ongoing tobacco use such as COPD and lung cancer.
