Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Georgiy Bobashev is a Senior Statistician/Data Scientist at RTI International where he has been for 17 years. His current research interests follow two major areas: predictive modeling and substance use studies. In the substance use research area, he is focusing on personalized treatments and a systems approach to understanding addictions. In predictive modeling area, he is focusing on methods development in forecasting health outcomes. These methods often combine mechanistic (e.g., agent-based and system dynamics) and statistical models. He received a Master's degree in physics from St.-Petersburg Technical University in Russia, Ph.D. in biomathematics from North Carolina State University and postdoctoral training in biostatistics and mental hygiene from John Hopkins University.
